Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan officially joins billionaire club with $1.4B fortune
Indian actress Juhi Chawla ranks second among Bollywood’s wealthiest with $939 million
MUMBAI/DUBAI – Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has officially entered the billionaire club for the very first time.
According to the Hurun India Rich List 2025, the 59-year-old actor has amassed a net worth of $1.4 billion, equivalent to INR 12,490 crore.
The announcement comes in the same year he received the National Award, making 2025 an exceptional milestone in his career spanning over three decades.
The new figure firmly places him among the world’s richest celebrities, on par with Rihanna and Tiger Woods, both also worth $1.4 billion, and trailing closely behind Taylor Swift at $1.6 billion and Kim Kardashian at $1.7 billion, as per Forbes data.
Global rankings
Khan has long been India’s richest actor, but the 2025 Hurun report highlights how far he has surged past his peers. His closest industry rival is business partner Juhi Chawla and her family, whose net worth stands at $939 million. Hrithik Roshan follows with $260 million.
In 2024, Khan’s fortune was reported at $870 million. Within a year, his wealth has nearly doubled, pushing him into the global billionaire bracket and cementing his dominance in the film industry.
Wealth drivers
Much of his fortune stems from Red Chillies Entertainment, the production company he co-founded with his wife, Gauri Khan, in 2002. The firm’s box office successes and global reach have become central to his rising wealth. His financial portfolio also includes investments in cricket franchises and high-value real estate, particularly in the Middle East.
According to The Indian Express, this diversified empire has been the largest contributor to Khan’s billionaire status, placing him ahead of several global names such as Jerry Seinfeld ($1.2 billion), Arnold Schwarzenegger ($1.2 billion), and Selena Gomez ($720 million).
